  • Country refers to: Utah, United States
  • Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cellphone or a digital tablet.
  • Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
  • Service refers to the Application.

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Types of Data Collected

Simple White Noise does not collect any Personal Data. We do not ask for, receive, or process any information that could be used to contact or identify You.

Local Settings

The extension stores only two settings on Your own Device:

  • Whether white noise is on or off.
  • The selected volume level.

These settings are saved in Your browser’s local extension storage so that Your preferences persist between sessions. They stay on Your Device and are never transmitted to Us or to any third party.

No Analytics or Tracking

The extension does not use analytics, advertising, cookies, remote servers, third-party services, accounts, or content scripts. It does not access the websites You visit, Your browsing history, or any other data on Your Device beyond the two local settings described above.

Permissions

The Application requests only the minimum browser permissions required to function:

  • storage — to save the on/off setting and volume level locally on Your Device.
  • offscreen — to keep audio playing after the extension popup is closed. No audio, page content, or other data is captured or transmitted through this permission.

Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13, and We do not knowingly collect any Personal Data from anyone, including children. Because the Application collects no data at all, no personal information from children is ever gathered, stored, or shared.

Security of Your Information

Because the Application stores its settings only on Your Device and transmits nothing over the Internet, there is no personal data held by Us that could be exposed. You remain in control of the local settings, which are removed when You uninstall the extension.

The Application does not contain links to other websites and does not direct You to any third-party sites or services.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
